When one tag per channel is not enough: how to keep your deal projects separate

You already have one tag per channel. To share a channel with several affiliates or keep projects and clients separate, create an organization for each.

If all you need is a different affiliate tag on each channel, you can set that up right from a single organization. Until now, each user in Codingram had just one, but you can now create one Codingram organization for each affiliate or project. Each one works on its own, with its own bot, tag, channels, plan, invoices, and collaborators. That way you can post to the same channel with several affiliates and keep projects or clients completely separate. It also helps if you need to use different Amazon or AliExpress credentials on each channel without mixing anything up.

What you can already do with a single organization

Starting with the Creator plan, each channel can have its own Amazon tag and AliExpress ID. Any channel you leave unconfigured will use the default one. You can set this up under Settings › Amazon and Settings › AliExpress; if you have a rule for that store in Settings › Affiliates, set it in the rule's Exceptions per channel instead. The step-by-step guide is in A different code per channel.

This helps you see which channel sells the most or assign each one its own code. What doesn't change per channel are the credentials used to connect to Amazon and AliExpress: an organization only has one set. If changing the code per channel is all you need, you don't need to touch anything else.

When that's not enough

Within a single organization you can save one tag per channel and per store, but everything else is shared: the bot, the templates, the plan, the credits, and the collaborators. There are a few common cases where that falls short:

If you post to the same channel with other people and each collects their own commissions, a single organization lets that channel carry only one Amazon tag. If each person has their own organization instead, the deal goes out with the tag of whoever sends it.

If you run channels on different topics (such as tech and home) or manage channels for clients, you need each organization to have its own bot, templates, queue, and automatic publishing, without mixing posts.

The same goes if you need each channel to work with different Amazon or AliExpress credentials, for example because you have separate store accounts. An organization has only one set of credentials: you can change the tag per channel, but not the credentials. If you create one organization for each set, each channel uses its own.

You also keep billing and access separate: each organization manages its own plan, credits, and invoices on its own, and you decide which collaborators join each one without giving them access to the rest.

One organization per affiliate or project

The organization is the workspace that brings together your channels, templates, bot, and plan. When you create several, each one runs on its own:

  • It has its own Amazon tag and AliExpress ID, added automatically to every offer you post in it.
  • It keeps its own Amazon and AliExpress credentials to read listings and search for products.
  • It has its own Telegram bot, channels, queue, and automatic publishing.
  • It handles its own plan, credits, and invoices separately.
  • It manages its own collaborators and each one's access permissions.

To switch between them, just use the selector in the side menu and work in whichever one you need. You can own some and collaborate on others at the same time. And if you only need one organization, everything stays exactly the same in your day-to-day work.

Open the right organization, paste the link, and the offer goes out with that organization's tag, without touching anything else. The details are in Collaborators and permissions.

Create the second organization

  1. Go to Settings › Organization (your email must be confirmed first).
  2. Press Create organization, enter the name you want, and press Create and choose a plan.
  3. Choose the plan you need and complete the payment.
  4. Connect a dedicated Telegram bot for this organization under Settings › Telegram. Each one needs its own: a bot already serving another organization will not work, so create a new one with @BotFather. If you are going to reuse a channel you already have in another organization, remember to add this new bot as an administrator of the channel too.
  5. Set up that organization's tag and its Amazon and AliExpress credentials if you use them; add its channels and prepare its templates, just like you did with the first one.

What to know before you create it

  • Every extra organization is always paid: there is no trial or free plan, and it is billed separately from the first one. You can see the rates on Plans and pricing. If you create one and do not complete payment within 7 days, it is deleted automatically.
  • If you want several people to post with their own affiliate, each one will need their own paid organization: any collaborator always posts with the tag of the organization they were invited to.
  • Paying for an extra organization counts as having paid: your main organization won't be able to start the free trial while the extra one exists, or for 24 months after it is deleted.
  • If you stop paying for an extra organization, it is frozen: it will not publish offers or spend credits, but your channels, templates, queues, and settings stay intact. As soon as you pay again it works again, though you will have to turn the queue and automatic publishing back on manually. Keep in mind that it never moves to the free plan; you'll find more details in Frozen and pending payment.
  • You can delete any extra organization when you no longer need it. If it had an active paid subscription, it is canceled immediately and you lose any days remaining in the billing period (if you want the prorated part back, ask for it by email). Likewise, you can leave any organization that isn't yours where you're a collaborator whenever you want.
  • If you ever want to delete your user account, you will first have to delete all your extra organizations one by one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Amazon Associates account for each organization?

If all the projects are yours, you do not: Amazon lets you use a single account with up to 100 tracking IDs and recommends using a different one for each site. If several people are involved and each collects their own commissions, then each person will need their own affiliate account. In any case, remember that you must declare in your Amazon account every channel where you will share links, as we explain in the affiliate link guide. You will find all the details in Amazon's help about tracking IDs.

Can I add the same channel to two organizations?

Yes, no problem. Each organization works with its own bot, so you only need both bots to be administrators of the channel. The one exception is the free plan and the trial: there, the channels of one Telegram person can only be in one organization, and Codingram will not let you add to an unpaid organization a channel that is already in another. On a paid plan you do not have that limit.

Can each collaborator post with their own affiliate?

Not within the same organization: any collaborator always posts with the tag set in the organization that invites them. If they want to use their own affiliate, they need their own organization with its bot and tag. That said, the same channel can be in both organizations at once, as long as theirs is a paid one: that way that person manages theirs while collaborating in yours at the same time.

What happens if I stop paying for an extra organization?

The organization is frozen: it stops publishing offers and does not spend credits, but all your data stays intact. As soon as you resume payment, it works as normal again. Keep in mind that it never moves to the free plan.

How much does an extra organization cost?

It costs exactly the same as the plan you choose for it and is billed separately. You can see the amounts on Plans and pricing.
