Post your deals to WhatsApp channels too
Along with Telegram, you can now post to WhatsApp channels by linking a number. Here's what changes compared to Telegram, what you need to get started, and how the free plan's 30-day rule works.
Codingram now posts your deals to WhatsApp channels as well as Telegram. You link a WhatsApp number that is an admin of your channel, and it posts deals just like the bot does on Telegram. It can be your usual number, but we recommend using a separate one; we explain why below. It is available on all plans, including the free plan (with a rule of 30 days without posting). Each WhatsApp channel takes up one slot in your plan, just like a Telegram one.

What changes
Until now, Codingram only posted directly to Telegram. To send a deal to WhatsApp, you had to use Share and pick the destination yourself, one deal at a time.
Now you can add a WhatsApp channel from Settings › Channels and use it just like a Telegram one: Create offer, the queue, automatic publishing, and the Telegram bot treat it like any other channel, with its own template and its own queue. What changes is how the message arrives:
- The link shows in full. WhatsApp doesn't let you link words or add buttons below the message, like Telegram's "Buy" button: the product address appears as-is in the text.
- The number never messages your contacts or groups: it only posts to the channels you specify.
Nothing changes with Telegram: your bot, your channels, your templates, and your queue stay as they were.
With Codingram
You paste the product link in Create offer, pick your WhatsApp channel, and the deal goes out with your tag, just like on Telegram.
Which plans include it
All plans, including the free plan. A WhatsApp channel takes up one channel slot in your plan and counts toward your limits just like a Telegram one:
- On the free plan, you get a single channel, WhatsApp or Telegram but not both, and you post manually.
- Starting with Solo, the queue and automatic publishing run on their own on WhatsApp too.
- Sending the same deal to WhatsApp and Telegram at once, with the multi-channel panel, is available on Creator and Agency.
What you need
- A WhatsApp number, on a phone you have on hand while linking it. We recommend using a separate number on another phone: if WhatsApp ever blocks it, you won't lose your usual number.
- Make that number an admin of your channel. It works even if it's the owner, but we recommend keeping it as an admin only so the channel stays yours no matter what happens. From your main phone, open the channel, tap its name, and choose Invite admins; then accept the invitation on the phone with the separate number.
Each organization has a single number that works for all its WhatsApp channels, and only the organization owner can link or unlink it. All the details are in Before you start.
The risk of being blocked
WhatsApp offers no official way to post to a channel from a tool: its business platform does not support channels. That's why Codingram connects as another linked device, just like WhatsApp Web. It is an unofficial method, and WhatsApp can block the linked number.
In practice that is not usual. WhatsApp publishes no figures, but its help says it restricts or suspends accounts for spam, automated or bulk messaging. The number you link writes to no person: it only posts to the channels it administers, at the pace of a deals channel. Even so, the risk exists, which is why we recommend a separate number that is only an admin: if WhatsApp blocks it, the channel stays yours and you can add another admin. That phone needs to open WhatsApp at least once every 14 days so the linked devices' session is not closed.
If the number gets blocked, your WhatsApp channels stop posting until you link another one, and whatever is in their queue stays on hold. Your Telegram channels keep posting as usual. Codingram shows you this notice before you link anything: you can read it in full in The risk notice.
30 days on the free plan
On the free plan, a number that goes 30 days without posting on WhatsApp gets unlinked:
- We email you 7 days in advance, with the date it would be unlinked. If you move down to the free plan after a month without posting, the warning reaches you that same night.
- Posting to any WhatsApp channel resets the 30 days.
- If it gets unlinked, your channels stay and whatever is in their queue stays on hold. To reconnect, press Link number and repeat the steps.
Paid plans and the free trial don't have this rule. We explain it in On the free plan.
How to get started
The organization owner goes to Settings › Connections, presses Link number on the WhatsApp number card, accepts the notice, and enters the code we give them on the phone. Then, in Settings › Channels, they press Add channel › WhatsApp channel and pick the channel. The WhatsApp help page walks you through it step by step.
If you don't have a channel yet, the guide to a WhatsApp deals channel explains how to create one, which niche to pick, and how to make money with it.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything extra?
WhatsApp is not charged separately, but each WhatsApp channel takes up one channel slot of your plan, like a Telegram one. If Telegram already fills your slots, you need another one: the free plan has a single one, Solo includes one and lets you buy up to two more, and Creator includes three. Prices are in Plans and pricing.
Can I link multiple numbers?
No. Each organization has a single number. To change it, you unlink the current one and link the new one, which must be an admin of the same channels.
